In 2006 Melissa Derickson, founder of Give & Take, envisioned a highly focused women's / unisex boutique called Give & Take located at 101 N 12th Street in Tampa Florida. Prior to opening the store, Melissa had gained her industry experience as a makeup artist working for various national fashion clients, designers, and stylists. This experience proved to be invaluable, allowing her to continue on to work with various cosmetic manufacturers, and later, clothing designers finding the ever-intriguing world of fashion to be the final focus of her creative efforts.

These efforts have materialized into Give & Take, a forward looking fashion boutique located in the heart of Tampa's channelside district. Give & Take focus is to bring the most hyper-current domestic and international designers and styles to Tampa's forward-minded fashion culture, and to the rest of the world via Give & Take's online store, www.shopgiveandtake.com. Give & Take has one simple goal, to bring the best mix of today's fashion forward designer, allowing these unobtainable designers some much needed exposure on local and international, web-based, level.
